Our story
How a Madina Market stall grew into a shop you can browse from anywhere.
The Very Demure Shopping with Frimpomaa started with a simple feeling: shopping should be calm, personal, and a little delightful — not rushed or overwhelming. Frimpomaa began by choosing pieces she would happily use herself, then offering them to neighbours and customers at Madina Market.
The inspiration was everyday life in Accra. People wanted home appliances that work, beauty that feels good, and bags and bits for school and travel — without paying more than they should. That care for affordable, useful finds is still at the heart of the shop.
What began as a market stall has grown into an online store you can browse from anywhere in Ghana, with the same personal service: pick up opposite Republic Bank in Madina, or have your order delivered. The journey is still unfolding, one carefully selected item at a time.
